My son brought home a jar of this a few weeks ago, saying "the biggest kid at school takes it." It took 10 seconds on Google to find out it has been banned by the FDA, is on the NCAA list of banned substances, and GNC is being sued for still selling it. I mentioned it to a friend whose son plays college ball, and she told me her son's teammate had tested positive for it and was suspended 50 games.

This morning my son told me at least two kids on his summer team are taking it.

Is this product all over college baseball?

LHPMom2012- I took it in the summer of 2010 with a good majority of my summer ball teammates. It does what it is advertised to do. But, as you said, it has its risks (and legality issues). My advice is simple: if the FDA doesn't approve, neither does my body.

MLB players have been suspended over use of health supplements they purchased at GNC the clerks told them were ok.
