Hopefully many of the Webster will be heading our way in the near future to play tournaments at our new baseball (and softball) facility.
On Wednesday, the city of Jackson will formally chase the travelball dream in its own way. Ground will be broken next to Pringles Park on the Jackson Sportsplex, an $11 million, 17-diamond baseball and softball complex that supporters guarantee - and officials hope - will be a magnet for travelball nomads and the spending money that travels with them.

HiwasseeVol,
I did sharpen up the sissors and I have been waiting by the phone ....nothing...no call! Confused Just wait......They may want some grass cut later on. On a serious note, I am excited that Jackson will at last have some competitive teams coming into town. I can go watch some good youth baseball. I do plan to attend the ground breaking on Wednesday.
Good to see you back on the HSBBW. clap

I will see Nomar before he leaves. The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx said they will stay for another year for sure. I doubt that Pringles Park will be empty even if they do leave after next year. Yes, they are trying to tie Pringles Park and the Sports complex together to some degree. They will be located in close proximity and most feel they will compliment each other. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Fungo, I passed through Jackson twice last week and didn't even stop in to say hello. Please forgive me. I was on my way to Cincy and back. On the way back I said to my wife as we were passing through, "This is a nice little town! They have a Lowe's, Home Depot, Fazoli's....We could move here, I could go back into insurance and we could move here"

I just realized you live near there. Sorry I didn't stop by and say hello.

BTW any word about that accident that closed down I-40 between Jackson and Nashville on Sunday afternoon? We took a detour to old HWY 70, to get around it.
