There is not a more deserving kid than this one. I had the pleasure of coaching this kid for 3+ years. He gets it. In my opinion he is the 2nd best pure left handed hitter in the area behind Kaskow. This is the kid that Linty pitched around to get to Marshall. He has been under the radar and that ended recently. Best approach at the plate I have seen from a young hitter. More importantly, he is a tremendous team mate and has an unbelievable work ethic. I have probably thrown him 200 rounds of BP in 3 years and every time we were finished he said thanks Coach. Every time! Look for him to put on a show in the SEC.

WOW!!! That's mighty high praise coming from one of the most astute baseball men I know. There's very few men I've met in the game that I respect as much as Coach V. He knows how to evaluate talent.

Well done Jacob!!! This is obviously well deserved and I know these are exciting times. Congrats to you and your family and go get 'em in Hog country .

BTW, take it easy on my beloved Bulldogs when you hook up .
