Update for our Falcon Baseball supporters!

We came back from Japan last weekend with a 2-1 tournament record (all teams in the tourney played 3 - it was kind of a weird bracketing due to time constraints). We were shut down the first game on a one-hitter by a 6'5" 230 pound RHP who could readily play DI ball ..... only thing is, he's half-Japanese and has spent his whole life in Japan....does NOT want to leave for college in the States. He will pursue pro ball in Japan.

In our next two games, however, we scored 29 runs, and threw a 4-hitter and a 2-hitter at the opponents. We definitely surprised some teams in this thing! The scary part is, my starting nine has seven freshmen and sophomores, and all but one are returning. Let's see if we get invited back next year!

And now.......this afternoon......we fly off to Beijing to play five different Beijing HS teams over the weekend. I have all the donor name banners printed out and we'll get these 'Great Wall Thank You' photos back to you all by mid-June.

This time yesterday I was on a bus about 40 miles outside Beijing, heading for the Great Wall (Mu Tian Yu section). Now I am back at work!

We played five games against Beijing area high school teams and won 4. We could have won the third but it was, literally, our third game that day, in 92 degree heat, and the boys were drooping!

We finished with a 16-4 overall record, which included some very strong competition in Korea, Japan, and China.

The donor photos from the Great Wall came out nicely, so I'll be working on getting those out ASAP.
