Jeff,

On this board - typically - posters ask questions or state opinions and start a conversation.

The board has posters that represent the full gamut of baseball. From pro scouts - to Showcase directors - to parents with kids starting the high school, college or pro journey - and we even get a few pro players here as well.

I will ask you a question though - How ya doing?
Tom

You are free to interpret "press" that way.
However, in the scheme of this thread I choose not to.

The majority of talented players from up this way DO get their press from accomplishing something in high school (where you say it all starts with a starting position on the varsity team)... My observation.
Chill and TR; All I meant in using the word "press" is that due to a short HS schedule compared to warm weather areas the opportunity for HS recognition is less.Summer Legion teams get "press" here (newspapers)but travel teams don't. I know the scouting exposure is good in the NE during the summer. I was making a broad statement and was thinking of kids playing 20 games in the spring, not summer ball.
No doubt jeff is a very talented lefty. My HS team plays against jeff atleast once a year. From what i have seen i would work on your mechanics and learn a second pitch. Everyone at the next level can hit a fast ball. As far as "press" i can tell you from my experiences as a high school coach in small town NH who also played at the D1 level if your good they will find you.. no matter where you are or how much "press" you get.... Remember that coaches and scouts are a close knit fraternity and they all talk and the all know each other.......
Jeff,
I have seen you play alot for Plymouth Post against my son who played for Post7 in Rochester. If your looking for some exposure, talk to your HS coach and find a couple of showcases that best suit what your looking for in college/Pro exposure. There are alot out there for you to choose from. Knowing what your talent level is, I am sure that you have probably been sent info on some already. You might want to mull over where you play summer ball this summer. My son played with the Long Island Titans his senior summer and it was a great experience for him. I think that he wishes that he did it his junior summer as it would have helped get him more exposure. They play a vigorous schedule in Long Island as well as Two to Three Wood Bat events around the country. They play there home games at Stoney Brook University. If your interested drop me a note, and I will contact your coach with the info I have. Good luck this year!

Jeff Locke,

You do not need to answer questions about yourself any longer. Usually those who post on here do not possess your ability.

Thanks to Farrah's Builders and more importantly yourself, everyone in America that recruits or scouts is going to know your name shortly.

I was on a cart passing the outer blue fields going to the red complex when I heard a big smack in the catchers mitt. I quickly looked at the nearest gun and saw 92. After stopping to watch I saw a 93. All from an 2007 6'2 lefty from New Hampshire. Please keep working hard!

By the way, the 07 class from the NE is absolutely loaded with highest level draft prospects. Rick Porcello is yet another top national level 2007 Farrah's pitcher. He's from New Jersey, is 6'5 and threw in Jupiter!

Add the name Matt Harvey 6'4 RHP (CT) 93 mph who was with East Coast Grays to the list of big time 07 prospects. And there are a couple more from the NE in the group of national top prospects.

Catcher Jonathan Candelier (Brooklyn) is going to create a lot of interest as well. Outstanding defensive catcher with big time bat speed!
