JMU for several years was one of the diamonds of college baseball in the Mid-Atlantic.. Like most programs it has gone thru some slow periods but has been siging some top rated players..

Nice field, great school, beautiful location.. JMU is not an easy school to get into as it is in great demand, especially for in-state students..

Echoing the others, McFarland is very well regarded as a pitching coach, and the program traditionally is pretty solid.

I vote with the guys that don't like the astroturf infield with the grass outfield. I'd take the turf money and put in drains and heating coils under the infield, but they didn't ask me. Smile

Since the question came from a New Yorker, we should also add the school is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley; more like upstate New York and definitely not NYC. (a good thing in these parts)

My wife gets lots of alumni mail........
