Does anyone have job recommendations for a 16 year old that is flexible enough to go to five tournaments throughout the summer and the usual local weeknight and weekend games?
Our son does lawn-mowing. Last summer, he worked construction for a man whose son was a high school teammate. He understood the need for flexibility and was fine with it.
...are always looking for athletic, trim, and flexible young men to work as models to greet customers as they enter their store. If your son has those attributes, then perhaps that may a good place to look for a job. Our son had the look and it worked out quite well for him. See for yourself...
My son a college just finished his freshman year of college and has worked as a golf caddie for the last four years. He makes great money and they enable him to work around his schedule. In addition he is getting paid to exercise at work, either carrying two bags for 5 miles a day or running ahead of the golfers 5-10 miles a day. The other positive is that he is interacting with many men and woman who are successful in their careers and making many important contacts fo the future.
I know that in the country clubs around here most cadies need to be trained, and the training classes are usually in April, so that opportunity may have passed.
Yeah, I looked into to being a caddie at two local country clubs back in January. One I had to be 16 (I'm 15 and my birthday isn't until July) and the other said I needed a recommendation from a club member (Did not know any).
How about a job in the local batting cages, in the pro shop or working for one of the many kids baseball camps they do over the summer. They take 16 and under kids, don't pay much but it's better than nothing!
Try to get a job at a local gym.I have worked at one for 2 years now,and they have been very flexible during the school year and the summer.Chances are you get free Gym membership aswell
Or
IF you live in a minor league city, work at the ballpark. You only have to work during homestands and thats at night, too.I have friends who play on my summer team and enjoy this
