Does anyone know how to join the Board of Directors or become a Booster for the High School's Baseball team? My son will be a Freshman this year so we'll be new to the program. I know that all of the current members are the parents of current players or recently graduated players, so I assume there will be openings soon. Not sure if it's the "who you know" system to become a member or if anyone can join. Who approves new members?
Totally depends on the school and team. Check your school's website. Attend the very first info meeting, become members and attend every meeting after. Go early and stay late. It's the time before and after the meeting where you'll get the most information. You'll know soon enough when elections are held and how members get elected. For some schools it will be people that have given a lot to the program by volunteering first, others will be community influence, and others will be whomever has the time and energy 
Gotta get your feet wet before you know how deep you want to go!
