2018 was invited to play on his state team for the jr. Sunbelt tourney in Ok..  As a sophomore we are being told this is quite an honor.  A couple of people have now mentioned that he may want to consider the PG Jr. National showcase which is at the same time.  Summer team coach is allowing him to go for the 10 day tourney.

We understand the general differences ie the kids represent their state, play 2 games a day, stay with host families, and it will be fun.  But if the underlying reason is to be seen by as many schools as possible I can understand why the PG event makes sense.

Thoughts?

Sorry, charlieball, didn't mean to sound flipant. I asked which schools had attended Jr Sunbelt...seemed more mid-west to west coast, to me...We opted to have son attend PG events.  As a rising Jr. he did PG Nat'ls, WWBA 17U & 18U tournaments. All Fla & Georgia events, which encompassed ACC, SEC, Big 12 conferences.

My son played in the Jr Sunbelt last summer.  Outside of the WWBA events in Atlanta and Jupiter it was the most heavily scouted event he played in.  Most of the games had 25-30 college coaches and pro scouts.

I see that you are from GA.  When TX played GA there were coaches from almost all the Big 12 schools as well as many SEC, ACC schools in attendance.

The competition was very good with the exception of a couple of states.  Boys had a blast and the community makes it a great event for both players and parents.  The boys on that team still keep in touch and always go out of there way to seek each other out at various events, games, etc.

If I can help with any more information let me know.
