Just wondering about the transition from a JUCO to a 4 year school. Do they offer a financial aid package to JUCO players besides baseball money?

I guess the question is, would an academically talented kid miss out on more scholarship money by attending a JUCO to play ball and then moving on the a 4 year school?

Thanks!

My son's experience was full tuition, books, fees, and housing at a JuCo, then a nice 87% package to a D1 (under the Old Rules); the 4 year did cost us signifcantly more than the JuCo.

The early courses are pretty standard at a JuCo or 4 year; make sure he has school guidance for the transfer of credits.

Your son will be more of a proven player after playing two years at a good JuCo; you may well find he's offered a better package at a 4 year than he would have received as a freshman.

Best of luck!
