Mn-Mom, I love the new format, but one thing I noticed. If you do a Google search for High School Baseball Web you have to click three or four times to get to the forums. We insiders know the content is there.. but first-time users may not. Maybe a change to the search engine is in order so newbies are just one click away from our wonderful world of baseball!

Bum,
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree... it does take a lot of clicks to get here from Google! I am renovating our non-forum pages, and will put a prominent link to our forums/message board/community on every non-forum page. So after clicking to "HSBaseballWeb.com" from the Google results, it will take only one more click from any page to the forums.
Any additional thoughts and suggestions are welcome!
Julie
MN-Mom, Is there any way to make the banner ads optional? I know some aps have an upgraded version that allow you to view without the ads for a subscription fee. Eventhough Ihave contributed in the past, I would be happy to subscribe for a cleaner quicker view of the site. Could be a win/win.
Thanks for all you do!
I used to like to see where the Posters were from when I read their posts on here. Any chance that could make its way back Julie?

YoungGunDad,
I have requested the option for us to display users' locations below their avatar and username, without having to click into their profile. It's on the list for a future release, but I don't know yet how soon it will be available.
Thanks,
Julie
mcmmccm,
I am sending you a PM/Dialog to get more input on your suggestion about ads.
Thanks,
Julie
When using phone, if I get an email for a topic I am following and I hit view, it takes me to the first post, not the last. It takes a while to scroll, especially if the blog is a few pages long.
Anyway you could have it go right to the last post?
^^^ +1
I see what you mean... clicking the "View This Reply" link in an email on my laptop brings me to the Reply, but clicking the same link in an email on my phone brings me to top first post in the thread.
I'll ask tech support about this... might have to go on the wish list for a future release.
Thanks,
Julie
Julie -
Hope you got my email the other day. I know you are busy and will get back to me when you can. No rush.
I just wanted to add to this thread a minor thing that I miss.
Old site had a counter that showed how many times a thread was viewed. I thought it was kind of fun to see what threads were getting eye balls.

Julie,
Since you're from the Interweb, can you do something to cut down on how much spam I get? Its so annoying...
Plus, I heard that when I Google something the CIA can see my search history. Maybe you could put some kind of blocker on it ?
Otherwise the site looks great.
Rich,
I noticed that missing counter, too! I'll add that to the wish list for future releases.
And I found your email... sorry I missed it earlier, will reply.
Thanks,
Julie
wraggArm,
...and a million dollars and a month off! (Those are always at the end of my hubby's wish list.)

Hey Julie, don't know if you are tweaking the site however I noticed the most current topics section has been replaced by a list of the forum categories I kinda miss seeing the most recent topics section (especially since you can see the forum list on the top menu).
I noiticed last night new main site but today it is back to the old? BTW the new one looked great!
