If I had my druthers, I would like to see it broken down as follows and to not allow players to migrate across categories:
Cy Young - For starting pitchers only and recognizes the most valuable starting pitchers.
Roll-Aid Relief Man - For relievers only and of course recognizes the most valuable relievers.
MVP - Recognizes the most valuable position players that are non-pitchers and can include the DH.
Maybe a seperate DH award can be fashioned similar to the relief man award for pitchers.
I can hear some saying already, what if your pitcher is the MVP - so be it, he already has a category for pitching recognition.
