Welcome aboard, Lucy (you share the ame name as my beloved mother-in-law) ...

You found the right place to chat amongst the 'girls' about the game we all love. Please feel free to ask and share anything you wish. When it comes to the gals on this site, we are all very gentle and considerate of each other's feelings and try our darnedest to have everyone feel at home here. We get an occasional male visitor in the 'ladies' lounge' and most of them are welcome, and many of them share our feelings and thoughts about life and the game ... but be cautious about wolves in sheeps' clothing 'cause we do have some members who love to troll the different fora (notice my clever use of the proper plural for forum) ... and seemingly try to stir up trouble.

You will find that we refer to each other by shortened versions of our board names ... so please accept the abbreviated version of you moniker as a compliment.

Anyway, you will find that ssm (shortstopmom) is the hostess with the mostest and bakes great cookies (or so I have imagined in my cyber appetite). Others here are formidable 'old' gals ... not just age, but length of time on the board and involved in baseball ... while still others are somewhere in between newby and oldie. Everybody brings something special to the forum and it is fun to be part of a wonderful group of baseball moms.

I'm just wishing I would have found you ladies a few years ago! But better late than never, right?

I will be trying to look around, read and catch up. I seem to have a lot of catching up to do with ds, now that he's a junior and kind of a late-bloomer. So I'll be around a lot! So far this site seems to be a wealth of information, overwelming, but I've learned a lot just in the couple of days I've been around!

Are your dh's on here too? Your sons? Mine aren't yet, but I've told them about this site, so we'll see. My dh isn't much for the internet though.
