2014 threw for first time for summer team this weekend ( a new team for him). First game o year so they (coaches) used something like 7 pitchers to see what they (pitchers) had for themselves. They were using Juggs gun and recording pitches and MPH. 2014 hit 90 3 times, 89 once and cruised at 86-88 for 2 innings and coach said his slider was "nasty". first time I know of (they don't use guns in his HS team) he has hit 90 so a very exciting day. cruised at 83-85 in fall with top of 88 once, so a big jump IMO. Good timing as well. PBR has a top prosepct showcase starting today in Ohio and he is in it. Hope he repeats when he pitches what he did Saturday.

Chef Congratulations to your son.
That's awesome!! Keep the cannon fresh for the big tourneys and showcases this summer. Good luck!!
Sweet !
Good timing for new highs in velocity! No telling what he may be throwing by next spring.
mini update, PBR in Ohio showcase called Top Prospects was all it advertised. Well over 100 college and pro scouts there over 2 days, very well run and organized.
2014 didn't pitch with big velocity in showcase (I am guessing 84-86 but pure guess). 5 hitters per inning each pitcher pitched an inning. Struck out 3 of 5 and gave up a swinging bunt hit, picked that young man off first. He is considered a 2 way player, so got to play SS and hit. 2-4 with double off LC fence and 2 fly outs to deep CF.
cool thing is by next evening had quite a few emails that were specific to him (not just come to my camp ones).
Friday for summer team threw a no hitter, saturday hit a couple of HR's.
It was a good week for him
Way to go 2014~~keep up the good work. Congrats CM7777!!

It was a good night
