..........she's got Verlander's back.
And I think that she won twitter tonight and didn't even have to '"drop the mic".

Verlander and porcello were Close and either (and kluber probably too) would have deserved it but that two voters did not have verlander on the Ballot at all is strange (did that happen to porcello or kluber too?
I saw the tweet last night - it sure was direct!
No matter who you thought should have been the winner, the fact that Verlander wasn't even on two ballots doesn't seem right.
Verlander got 2nd place and gets to have Kate feel sorry for him Winner!!!
I saw the title "Kate Upton..." and didn't bother looking... said no one ever.
Verly led almost every major stat. For him to be completely omitted from 2 ballots is insane. Those voters shouldn't be allowed to vote again.
He's been winning ALL the awards for a while as far as I'm concerned... Lucky guy!
Chastain (one of the Tampa writers) said he voted around a week before the season ended. Verlander made two more starts, 14 innings, 1 ER. At least he was accountable.
Regardless if you think it was Verlander, Porcello or other, shame on Upton for upstaging the winner. Classless. Unless I missed it, Verlander should step up and publicly congratulate Porcello.
History will forget her and her outburst, but Porcello's name will forever have "Cy Young Award Winner" next to it.
Congrats to the Boston Red Sox offense for winning the 2016 American League Cy Young Award.
I don't pay attention to the AL that much but I thought Verlander was having a great season. But looking at the chart above we may need to rethink about who gets to vote. This is ridiculous.

It's the WWBA's award, which is composed of writers. No such luck on that.
It was close between Verlander and Porcello, wins probably did win it for him. But if you park adjust the stats, Porcello's stats trump Verlander's. I don't think it is clear as you think.
We could start the HSBBW Pedro Martinez award, and vote each year.
Baseball writers are often self aggrandizing, egotistical @$$h013$ who often think they are bigger than the game. Not a fan.

Who cares what celebrities think? Or should it be ... Who cares what celebrities think! They are so self important they believe with a Fan Club their opinions mean more. Verlander should tell her to shut up and anckowledfe the winner.
If still waiting for a bunch of celebrities to move out of the country after the election. I tweeted Cher I will personally help her pack free of charge. I'm not a Trump fan. But winning may have been the biggest in your face to know it all liberal celebrities in history. I took the one month 99 cent introductory offer to The NY Times just so I could attend the first month of whine tasting.

What I don't get is they are all trying to go to Canada or Europe. What's wrong with Mexico?
Good for her supporting her man and voicing her opinion no matter who she is. I've got no problem with it.
I would have preferred to see her directly call out the BBWAA rather than MLB, but that is splitting hairs.
No pics. I came into this discussion looking to see Kate. Dag it!

What exactly would she be calling them out for? That her boyfriend didn't win?
As Go44 pointed out, Porcello's ERA, when adjusted for his home park -- Fenway is a hitter's park, much more than Comerica -- was better than Verlander's (Porcello's ERA+ was 145, Verlander's was 136). And his FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) was better than Verlander as well. Should Verlander get the award because his home park is more favorable to pitchers? And a lot of the other stats were so close that there was essentially no difference (1.009 vs 1.001 in WHIP, 227 IP vs 223 IP). Sure, Verlander could have won -- he had a great season, but so did Porcello. Each led the league in two categories (K and WHIP for Verlander, W and K/BB ratio for Porcello).
Whatever happened to simply congratulating the winner? Or alternatively, keeping your mouth shut?
P.S. -- and the writer who turned his ballot in early should have his vote taken away, but Upton didn't know that the writer had done that when she tweeted that MLB had ***ked her boyfriend.
P.P.S. -- I liked Thor's comment: https://twitter.com/Noahsynder...s/799044211970445312
I need pictures in order to have an opinion.

For being an out of touch ol' boys club that needs a blood transfusion of epic proportions. It is the same problem over and over again with the BBWAA and the HOF...lots of its members are stuck in the last century and have no clue what is going on in professional baseball. Many of its current leaders are asking for reform and they've got some membership reform but its not fast enough. They need a major overhaul.
PS...I'm a huge Red Sox fan and I think Verlander got the shaft with two writers not voting him in that top 5...ridiculous.....but that is neither here nor there. The BBWAA is the problem not Kate Upton.
JMO
Here's your PG-13 picture. Yes, she is attractive folks and she supports her man.
No argument that the BBWAA is out of touch.
Maybe I'm too partial to 21st century stats and sabermetrics, but I have a hard time finding it outrageous that the guy with the better ERA+ and better FIP won.
And to me yelling at the voters is like yelling at the umpires; I just don't like it. But I understand others may have a different view.
