Scott is not the type of pitcher that can be successful at 86 or 88. At his best he was mid 90s or better and a strikeout (high pitch count) type pitcher. For a while he was one of the best young pitchers in baseball.

He has made a lot of money. Personally, I think it was all about injury and later might have became a mental thing. He's still fairly young, so who knows. If he wants, someone will give him a chance, maybe next spring.

What is it about his motion that makes you think that? I always thought he had good mechanics and a fluid delivery with a good, natural arm slot. Maybe a bit violent at times.
