Thought I would share an experience that Pitcherson just encountered....
Pitcherson has been regularly emailing with coaches that have expressed interest in him, sending schedule updates, asking questions, etc. Some respond to every email, some only to a few. One coach in particular stopped responding, just went dark. And this was at his dream school. Pitcherson took this as a sign that they just weren't interested any more. But he really wanted to attend the school so he thought he would call the coach and discuss walking on.
So he went to the school's web site to get the coach's phone number and, whaddayaknow, the coach doesn't work there any more! After a little research he finds that the coach has taken a head coaching position somewhere else. Now, you might expect the emails would have bounced back, but they didn't.
Moral of the story, try to stay current on the coaching situation. They're not going to tell you they're leaving...
