I know we're supposed to brag over on the other side, but I kinda' like hangin' out in the General Items Neighborhood (I think it's a better class of people... huh?)

cadKID#1 Hit for the Cycle today.

I don't care if it's in LL, HS, Compball, or in college... I think it's pretty rare... and am just sick that I wasn't there to watch it...

Well don't you worry about thatcadDad...I've taken care of this for you...pull up your Lazy Boy and your TV tray, sit back, relax, and watch your kid's cycle...and all of the others too...

What's that all over your lap cadDad? Lasagna? And Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot? You should have set it aside before watching the spin cycle. Next time you'll know cadDAD.

Seriously...that's an accomplishment for certain. Sorry you weren't able to watch it...I'm sure he'll be able to fill you in...he can air-mail it!

Junior hit for the cycle last year. Had homer, triple, single, sf, double, single. Game was close until they blew it open in last inning. Had gotten close to the cycle previously but could not get a single on last at bat. Assistant coach from that team recently told me that the pitcher was told not to throw Junior a strike with 2 outs and the bases loaded since he had been killing them all year. However, the pitcher and catcher, sons of the assistant coach and head coach, really wanted to get Junior out and gave him a ball to hit for a grand slam with the bases loaded. Junior and the catcher normally have a $5 side bet on homers and strike outs when they face each other. They walked Junior when they had a 1 run leaded and Junior needed a single to complete the cycle in the last inning.
