PioneerDad, I found a good deal on an Epiphone SG and have been abusing the family's ears for over a month now. I'm trying to learn using the 'Fretboard Logic' program and another book by Troy Stetina.
Like most people, I've ended up learning the first 3-5 seconds of many songs from my youth:
Passage To Bangkok by Rush, Heaven and Hell by Sabbath, In the End by Rush, Take Me Home Country Roads, that kind of diddling around. I'm thinking about finding an instructor so I can stop going in circles.........but yeah, it's a lot of fun!
