Thought this was interesting? Speaking as the daughter of a longtime Reds fan.

Great Stuff. Interestingly Cubs also offered and lost, I wonder if Epstein didn't want to give as many concessions to Kyle, teams are not used that player dev guys dictate them the conditions and not promise total exclusivity and secrecy. But Kyle obviously earned that bargaining power especially since he makes enough money with driveline and doesn't need the job so he could basically pick his team who offers the best conditions because he is clearly the leading figure in the pitching development industry.
Good for him, well deserved.
Beat me to it. I saw this on espn.
Congrats Kyle

As a former Cincinnati resident who still follows the Reds a bit, I thought this was fantastic news! Congrats to Boddy and I hope this arrangement is a great success for both him and the Redlegs.
Bauer seemed to have a big impact on several of the young Indians pitchers. The Tribe lost Kluber, Carrasco, Salazar, Clevinger and Bauer (traded) for varying significant portions of the season and, yet, they were still in it at the end. I think Bauer had a lot to do with this. It could be very interesting to see what happens to the Reds staff the next few years, with him on the big club and his mentor Boddy working with a lot of the minors P's.
Should be fun. Thanks all.
Its about time a team did this.
Congratulations Kyle
Congratulations and best wishes, Kyle.
