Kendall Rogers has posted a premium article on D1Baseball.com, reporting that the La Salle University AD has announced the discontinuance of baseball there after this season. However, a group of former players and alums is organizing to raise $2,500,000 to fund the sport. Here's what is said in the article about the fund-raising kickoff:

"The first step to that fundraising campaign becoming a reality begins Wednesday night during a simple Google Meet call orchestrated by former La Salle pitcher James Santore and a host of other former players. Santore is hosting a Town Hall style event at 9 p.m., eastern, where he’s welcoming anyone interested in saving the program — alum, fan or just a simple baseball fan. You’re interested? You’re welcomed."
