We're scheduled to be going to Lakepoint this afternoon for a weekend PG tournament. Coming from western North Carolina. Seems a little crazy to drive into the middle of that evacuation mess. Just wondering if any locals can provide updates on the status there. Thanks

Very mild weather this weekend, I 75 North is jammed...like ALL day! I think it's going to be like Hotel California, we are programmed to receive, you can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER leave!
Storm will be coming into GA, after the weekend.
Just to update:
We did drive down for the weekend. Weather was perfect, traffic was heavy Friday but seemed pretty normal Saturday and Sunday. Wind was starting to blow Sunday morning, and storm was still at Key West.
Talked with several Florida evacuees at the hotel - I really feel for those who left their homes and don't know what they will return to.
