Pop up's son played his last HS basketball game last night. They lost to a team they should have beat, went into playoffs #1 seed and lose all three. It was bittersweet seeing him for the last time on the court, the worst was he did not score a single basket. I was half hoping they would win, the other half they lose so son would start baseball tryouts on time. Now its on to his last season of baseball. I sincerely hope the weather gods cooperate and we have an above average spring in temperature and below average rainfall. Let the baseball games begin!

The kids to feel sorry for, if we should, are the kids who didn't attend offseason workouts to impress the coaching staff. Monday will be a snow day. Then decisions will be made off three days in the gym and batting cage.
I've heard parents describe senior year as a year of "lasts" so here's hoping for a memorable baseball season, and good tryouts and a team with chemistry and spunk for your son.

It is snowing big plopping flakes here in Georgia right now. Practice is moved to the gym. Doesn't mother nature know this is the south and it's baseball season?! Sheesh. Woulda been nice around December...
