COLLEGE STATION — The Texas high school baseball poll for April 16, as determined by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and insideprepbaseball.com:

Class 5A
1. Katy 25-3, 2. Houston Bellaire 28-0, 3. Flower Mound 21-2-2, 4. Houston Langham Creek 24-2, 5. Round Rock 24-3, 6. Klein Collins 25-4, 7. The Woodlands 22-3, 8. Harlingen South 24-3, 9. Coppell 22-5, 10. El Paso Socorro 22-3.

* Looks like the Houston area is on top. *

Class 4A
1. Moody 25-2, 2. Calallen 24-4, 3. Longview Pine Tree 19-2, 4. New Braunfels Canyon 22-2, 5. Mesquite Poteet 23-3, 6. Fort Worth Arlington Heights 21-5, 7. Montgomery 18-4, 8. Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill 18-4, 9. Austin Lake Travis 21-7, 10. Midlothian 15-5.

Looks like a typical year in Texas HS baseball!! West Texas is rather weak this year if El Paso Socorro is the representativie!
