With Lubbock Christian and Point Loma each suffering one loss in the NAIA World Series, the two teams will have a Friday rematch to determine the NAIA National Champion. Point Loma is seeking their first title and the Chaps seek their second title in program history and the first since 1983.

The win provides LCU with their 51st win (51-8)and gives them 50+ wins for the 13th season in program history and the fourth over the last five years.

No.1 Lubbock Christian University, defeated No.3 Point Loma Nazarene University 11-8 to become the first top-seeded team in NAIA World Series history (since they began seeding teams in 2003) to claim a NAIA Baseball National Title. The Chaparrals, who claim the second baseball title in program history and the first since 1983, also became the fifth team in NAIA history to win the title after defeating the same team twice over the final two games.
