I just learned today that #19, pitcher Erik Davis from Stanford, has been selected to the all Pac 10 team.
What a well deserved award that was "earned" through so much hard work and sacrifice.
Having listened to Erik several times, I am sure he is much prouder of his team and teammates for what they accomplished this year, for his team getting back to the top of the Pac 10, earning the regional host position tomorrow, and for again setting a leadership example for Stanford baseball.
For me, post season awards aren't always that important. Having watched Erik this Spring and over the past 4 years, this one is an exception.
Erik earned the respect of every teammate and every opponent. He truly earned this reward.
