LEAST Favorite Baseball Commentator

Rick Sutcliffe. Verbal diarhea every time he opens his mouth. He wears out my mute button every time ESPN puts him on TV.

That White Sox. Yeah you can put it on the board.

This is another sport but John Madden is BAD. John-O, boom don't cut it anymore bud. For baseball it has to be Joe Buck. The WORST one overall is TERRY BOWDEN. So annoying its not any fun to watch the game.

AKB20--it is McCarver that drags down Buck. Joe is GREAT on Cardinals broadcasts. I'm not much of a fan of him, though, on NFL.

I love to listen to Joe Morgan, Joe Buck, and Tim McCarver. Rick Sutcliffe is HORRIBLE.

How Buck is allowed these games is amazing...can he be any more pompous? McCarver is terrible. In this area we have the privilege of the Yankee and Mets announcers who are horrendous specifically, Kay, Hernandez, Seaver. Kay has absolutely no idea. Hernandez is too self important, Seaver is a rambling, bumbling idiot (hurts me to say it because he was a great pitcher).

Although I have to say that Kaat and Singleton are very good despite having to deal with Kay.

Perhaps... McCarver & Morgan are so reviled because they always get the big games that so many folks watch?

I mean thay are really bad, but is it the exposure that really gets to people?


This brings up an interesting point. Back in the 70's TV guide did a similar poll..... The most hated sports caster... Howard Cosell with 35%. The most loved sports caster.... Howard Cosell with 25%.....

i hate listening to any of the girl commentators for college football and for baseball whenever john kruk talks i do the "earmuffs". i realize john doesnt do games, thank god.

Buck is out there begging for calls for the Angels and doesn't say a word on balls and strikes that go against the Yankees...can he be any more obvious?

He's so bad, he makes all the rest tolerable.

McCarver and Buck have to be the worst. It was a little better on the weekend when Buck was killing football games. McCarver, as a catcher just missed the entire point of the call in the game. The ball was past the catcher who should have made the play "outside" (1B was set up outside), instead he made a bad throw and was rewarded.
