Talk about "stains"......Pete Rose.
bbscout,
I swear - my mother broke into tears when Qualls hit that ball.

Publicly Shilling is a bit much to take, but he and his wife do SO much in the community he gets a pass from me. I'm not thrilled either that he professes to be a Christian yet wears t-shirts with questionable logos and what-not on them, and screams obscenities when things aren't going well for him on the mound. He could take Sunday School lessons from Matt Clement and Mike Timlin. But the guy I can't help but hate from my childhood is Jack Hamilton of the California Angels who hit Tony Conigliaro in the face with a pitch in August of 1967, effectively ending his career. Rest in Peace Tony C.!
Claudell Washington. I still remember the sign in Comiskey Park after he left... "Claudell Slept Here". Yes, that was back in the days before I saw the light and became a Cub fan.
Dan Driessen, Cincinnati Reds late 70's. Brought up to replace Peter Edward Rose.
Never have gotten over it.
