Leather-Free Batting Glove?

I've seen cow hide, goat, (I think even ostrich) and synthetic... You will be able to find something on line..

Just curious, what do you do for a fielding glove?

These guys make top-quality synthetic gloves; but i don't know about batting gloves. You maybe could use a synthetic work glove.

We also played some teams from Texas and they were using cowhide work gloves, they said they lasted much longer. I agree, maybe there are some synthetic work gloves.

My son has gone leather-free since little league. I can't see any reason to use batting gloves with today's virtually shock free metal bats. I see more and more kids going leather free, especially the good hitters. Now that he is using wood bats, he has continued to go gloveless, and I'm noticing more and more kids doing the same with wood.

My hands just can't take the punishment without batting gloves. I get blistered pretty badly with batting gloves even. I suppose I could stand to not use them in games, but by then I'd rather go with what is familiar.

...and it takes a mighty big cow to make an ample glove!

My son has the Cutters washable gloves; I don't think there's any leather on them.

I found cheap synthetic batting gloves at target.

haha! Been at the beach - of course it is! Was just saying what material I've seen - didn't make myself clear.

Leather can apply to several "skins" - am wondering if it was an allergy to a particular one or if the allergy is the chemicals used in tanning.
