My nephew in New York finished his school year earlier this week. It struck me odd that the national trials are held while northern schools are still in school.
I also notice that the great majority of teams and players are from the states that have the earlier school year ending.
Is it an unspoken truth that the players still in school are not really considered talented enough for the national teams?
