After receiving such great info on the PG tournament in Jupiter, our team found out today that they will not be able to attend due to combining 2 teams in 2007 (team had been every year since its inception). Technical issue but looks as though we are out for '08.

Therefore, my son is looking for a team needing a left-handed pitcher. I have requested an invite per PG and we are awaiting their review.

Player info:

velocity: FB (2&4seam)87-90 change 78 curve 82

jemaz and Coach May, thank you so much for your consideration. Matt has made a commitment to play for East Cobb, Marietta, Ga. (they called 5 min. after posting). Since he had played for the organization several years ago and knows several players on the team, he has commited to play for the East Cobb Astors.
Thank you so much for your interest and consideration and I will try to "look you up" while we are in Jupiter.

RZ now thats a statement that only someone that has been around the game would think about! Razz

I can see it now. Dirtbags vs EC Astros - elimination round - Taylor on the hill vs the Dirtbags. And the whole time I will be kicking myself saying "Why couldnt I have called five minutes sooner!"

As my pops used to say "A day late and a dollar short , story of my life."
I sent an email to perfect game and they contacted me within 3o min. by email that they had 3 or 4 pitching slots left and notify them immediately, if interested; however, Matt had already commited to another team by then.
I am not sure about position players.

As for Coach May, I'm not sure anyone can shut down the dirtbags, you guys are always awesome and very well coached. I'm in awe of all the talented players attending this year. I read that in 07 PG (I think) that there were 268 pitchers at 88 and above.
If they all throw strikes, that is pure domination!
Is 268 hitting 88 or above alot when well over half the players are pitchers?
I was just wondering if that was the exact figure and in what percentage it is to the entire amount of players.
Let's also give hitters credit where credit is due Big Grin, 88mph FB is hittable for many of the talented position players that attend.

PG?
