I am posting this here. We have many compassionate dads here on the HSBBW, but seems to me many are just too busy worrying about silly stuff. Moms always understand.
Arthur is employed in the handicap workshop where I work. I am guessing he is in his early 30's. I understand that he was paralyzed when he was 6 in a baseball accident.
When I first began I first noticed Arthur crossing the main street in his wheelchair. They tell me at work that he gets up at 6 everyday to be at work by 9. It takes him that long to prepare for the day. Arthur comes into the sales room every morning to say hello and during his lunch to say hello again. He would do whatever you asked him to. He always has a smile on his face and tells me he thanks the lord everyday for just being alive, his handicap doesn't stop him from doing anything.
When I first found out about his accident, I literally froze in my tracks.
My job is tough, REAL tough, but everytime I see Arthur and go back into the workshop, I forget about how tough a day I am having.
Thank you Arthur.
