Son tried it, he said it seemed to have a small-ish sweet spot and his hands got rung up pretty bad on mishits. It was lower in his ranking of the bats he tried. But that is just one person's experience.

awesome.  I don't have to shell out for one!!  son likes endloaded bats and one piece alloys.  wanted to try the goods one piece but at it's price point, I've been backing away from that.  now I have an argument for him.  looking at 5150s now.

I would recommend checking out the BatBros on youtube, if you have not already. They did a single piece BBCOR showdown, and do a good job breaking down all the bats, the Pros and Cons for each.

it's required viewing for my son and I. those guys tend towards lighter swing weights, though so we have to dig down into their ratings scale to figure out what would work for my son.

If your son likes end loaded one piece alloys, I would definitely say to check out the Stinger Nuke.

Anyone had any experience on sending back a The Goods for a warranty replacement? My son's black one has alot of epoxy rattling around in the barrel now. The bat appears to be fine but the rattle is annoying and has switched back to using his Meta Prime. So figured that I might be able to get a replacement for it. I have 3 more months before the warranty is up.

Friend had the same thing happen with Goods, then the handle collapsed into the barrel. When that happened, he sent it in and had no issues. I have returned a bunch of CFs without issue. As long as you follow the warranty directions on there site, it has taken 2-4 weeks in the past depending on what they have in stock.  When they didn't have the same model in stock they offered the next years model when it was already out or voucher.

Thanks for the info. He wants to move up to a 33" for summer ball. I wonder if they would let us send in the 32" and ask for a 33" as the replacement.

Update on the Stinger Nuke: Son hit back to back doubles with it , in a Houston Tournament. I don't think he'll be switching to anything else for a while! It's a little bit end-loaded, and has a strange muffled type of sound upon contact( not the "ping" of a Cat,etc.). But it sends 'em deep.

Still, I believe that bating is 90% mental. Whatever the kid has confidence in, usually winds up working the best.

is this more of a psychological thing on the bbcor bats having more pop than others? In D2 baseball before every conference series all the bats are put in a bag and measured for pop and once approved to be legal are tagged individually...bats that are too "hot" are taken away and im not sure what they do with them...id be curious to know what they do with the bats and im curious if any bats are confiscated more than others.

I agree there is a significant mental piece to it, but I also think finding the right balance and length of bat for a player makes an equally significant impact. At the beginning of the year I saw a ton of kids hitting with The Goods and it seemed like the pitchers were dominating. BP rounds were legendary! In yesterday's game between the two teams I saw exactly zero kids step up with it. Now that I think about it, I don't think I saw anyone use it in Friday's game either.

Agreed, I think "some" are finding they can not catch up to higher velo with such an end loaded bat. I am seeing the same thing. For the endloaded bats, I am seeing a lot more Select Pwrs and Nox because they are not as endloaded as the Goods or Cat9 connect. The few that are still seeing results with the Goods are 185-200+ pound (Strong) players. This is just what I have seen in local Texas 5A games. We will see what happens in Travel this summer.
