I know I am a real novice here, and I have to say that I agree with liniar (gasp) that overall strength is key...but all the kids know how to work their upper body to develop strength, and they all want a six pack (at least my 16 year old), but it has only been recent that I have finally got him focused on developing his lower half. It would seem that stronger legs will have a direct impact on bat speed.
Welp, the shepster getting a little slap happy. Did enjoy the good-natured ribbing and insightful information here today but must close the eyes before I wake and pray the Lord my soul to take...well you know the rest of the story. A hitter is only good as his last At-Bat and I'm glad that doesn't pertain to my last post.

Nighty,
Shep
