I am an 09 outfielder. I received a letter today from a Major D-1 school. This is first letter that didn't come with a camp brochure. Just some info about what they thought about my ability ,some facts about the program, and the coaches contact information. I am trying not to get to excited, but it sure is fun.

hey congrats that's pretty cool ...
as the EXACT date you may receive recruiting letters (by ncaa rule) is Sept 1 - TODAY

so someone put some thought into that letter

yeah it is pretty cool. My '09 son has received two similar letters, but both of them came before Sept. 1, neither mentioning camps. Just saying they've seen him play and think he would fit in well with their programs. But I don't think we'll try to get them in trouble for being a little early!
