Lincoln High School - Host School Coach Hake does a fantastic job. Great KIDS! He's been a friend of mine for so long, I really couldn't tell you how long I've know him. He was one of those coaches that got his start at Edwardsville.
Oak Forest - Coach Czar, again, great program, always fun to play = they play hard! BTW, always great to talk baseball w/Coach Czar and staff.
Tinley Park Andrew - Coach Ganser and staff - one of the top programs year in and out. I always look forward to playing them. I also look forward to getting to talk to Coach Ganser.
Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin - Another top line program year in and out. They eliminated us in extra innings in the Super-Sectional in 2005. I believe they are still coached by Coach Chrzanowski. Better bring your lunch pale because these young men come to work.
Edwardsville - Another Stalwart when it comes to Illinois Baseball. Year in and out, they win 30 games. Coach Funkhauser, as always, does a great job. Great teams, great coaches, TRADITION!
Troy Triad - Appears to be the little fish in this gigantic ocean. I've heard that they found 9 kids to play this year and so, will field a team. If they can get that other kid to give up Spring High School S****r, they might have 10! (Think about it!) Some of the best kids around. They work hard and believe. These kids love this tournament and this year, are going to stay in a real hotel that doesn't include having bullet holes in the windows and walls. (Long story.) Now if they can only overcome coaching.
This is going to be a GREAT TOURNAMENT!
