Linfield hires Spencer from Washington State

This is a big move for a DIII. Spencer will be bringing a pretty good resume that includes a couple of CWS trips and a ton of D1 experience to a great school with a great athletic history.

I hope this begins a trend. There are some great players/students at the DIII level who would benefit from seasoned veteran coaches looking to get away from the grind of what D1 baseball has become (read the article for explanation).
