Is there a site to check out bat reviews for LL and senior league bats? Looking at get my son new bats for the up coming 2011 season and wanted to find out some of the better bats for both LL and for AAU. He used a Stealth Speed for AAU last year and now LL needs a metal. Was looking at The TPX EXO - these good bats? What are some others I need to check out? Thanks!

Hey Kaos. For LL my son has been hooked on the TPX H2. It's a hybrid (metal barrel-comp handle) like the EXO, has tons of pop, and has lasted spring, summer, and fall ball. Both bats seem to get great reviews. He uses a seior league H2 for AAU also.

As for reviews, most sites that sell bats will let customers review them. You can look past the ones that say "this bat is ****" and find some good feedback. I try to read as many of those as I can and average them out. Might not be the best way but it has worked for us so far.
After doing some fairly extensive research into a LL bat for my son's last season on the small diamond, I've come to conclusion that the Anderson Techzilla is the way to go. I've heard that it is on the heavy side (but son uses a BB CF4 that actually is a drop 6.5 when it should be -8) and is somewhat end-loaded but that should be fine. Also heard it is not particularly durable but since he's going to use it one season...that should hopefully not be an issue. Price is, though I'm bidding for a new one on Ebay that I hope should save me $75 or so.
Well, my son really liked the ComBat B2 in LL and BB sizes (very balanced), and fortunately got a lot of use out of both of them last year before the moratorium. It seems that if your kid can handle the weight and end-loading (and not all LL kids can), then the Techzilla is the best bat by general consensus.
IMO the two best metal LL bats are Anderson Techzilla and the EXO. Don't know about the Anderson but if you get older models you can find exo's for under 100 bucks. If you want a good and less expensive metal bat it's hard to go wrong with an Omaha.

IMO if you're kid likes a balanced bat get the EXO if he likes an end loaded bat get the Anderson. I haven't noticed any real difference in the pop between the two but they both seem to stand out over most others.
