Lock Haven University announced yesterday that the school is dropping its baseball program effective at the end of the current season.
Once again, a cowardly method of announcing the decision was made by the administration. The team was pulled from their bus at 7am on Friday morning prior to a road trip and told of the decision. Coach Smokey Stover had no prior knowledge of the decision and was informed at the same time.
Athletic Direstor Sharon Taylor chose to post a press release on the school's website along with their own Q&A and refused to take calls from the press. Great leadership.
