Tryouts for the Longshots Senior Division (high school ages) will be held in August 2012 for the 2012 Longshots Baseball Fall Program and the 2013 season. All tryouts will be held at Whitlock Park at 4001 Fairview Ave, Downers Grove, IL, 60515.
Players are encouraged to attend two of the four sessions. We do not encourage attending more than two unless asked to. Players' chances of making the teams and the program will not be impacted by which session(s) they attend. There are four sessions at each age primarily to facilitate vacation schedules and other conflicts. Each session will have the same format.
We recommend players arrive 15-20 minutes before each session to register and stretch. The registration form is at the bottom of the page. Players can print a form, fill it out, and bring it to tryouts, or there will be forms on hand at each session. We will begin each session by having the players run a 60 yard dash, so make sure to leave enough time to get stretched out, and be sure to be properly hydrated.
All Senior Division players in our program play with their high school graduating class team, regardless of their age eligibility. Players should tryout for the team that corresponds with their graduating class.
There is no cost to tryout.
