Our son (P-LH) is at John A Logan College in Carterville,Il and will graduate this spring. Good grades and a great 2012 fall scrimmage season (3-0,19in,0.9era,25K,9bb). He has been contacted by 8 D1's so far and has a very good offer from Louisiana-Monroe and a lights out offer from Ball State. University of Evansville and Winthrop University want him to visit. Any thoughts ?

NatTime Fan- First off congrats to your son for his success and offers thus far.

I don't really know what kind of thoughts you're looking for, unless perhaps you are asking for specific insight into the schools you've listed. Unfortunately I don't have any advice in that manner to help you.

I don't know if this was intended, but with the information you've given and a quick Google search, I found your son's name, hometown, and even his Twitter account. While privacy may not be an issue in your mind (most people here know who I am), the schools you mentioned may not want people divulging the amount of money they've invested into a potential recruit publicly. Financial aid and scholarship information are often times a private matter, and thus are a sticky subject on these boards at times.

Welcome to HSBBWeb. I think RJM brings up a great point (culture) when you consider these schools beyond the baseball.

Presumably your son is transferring in as a junior. He has to find a place where there is no question, he will earn a starting spot. I would research the heck out of each of these opportunities and ask the coach how many JUCO LH-P transfers are expected. Academics, playing time and culture fit would be high on my list. I suggest your son make a list of what is most important to him.

Good luck
