What a game... what a bottom of the ninth! No dog in the fight but that one had a bit of everything. The only downside is that it sure seemed the MSU pitcher got squeezed on several pitches and that had a significant effect on the outcome. And, that review play at second base on the overrun... why all of the sudden could they not get a camera angle that was a clear picture? Bizarre. But, amazing drama, emotion and baseball. And, best friends as opposing HC's... quite a moving post-game interview with McDonnell about that.

I agree, an amazing game. I guess my thoughts on the overrun is that he was probably safe, however the play was always in front of the runner. A blooper that fell in 120ft from the bag, and the runner takes a big turn. Right call or wrong call, the runner should have never put himself in that position.
Fk...fell asleep in the 9th...
Leftydad, I agree... I was commenting more on the strange lack of clear replay video. The play at the plate, they had several 3D rotating views, clear as a bell. Most other replay views during the series were pretty decent quality. But that one, for some reason, was very choppy and fuzzy. You could see he was most likely safe but not enough clarity to definitively overturn. Just weird.
And Mangum's throw to the plate... had the catcher not dropped it on the swipe and MSU closed out the inning/game, that would have gone down as one of the great plays in Series history, especially had the Bulldogs gone on to win it all. And the kid that drove in the winning run... going down 0-2, I think failing on a bunt attempt, just a great finish to such an important AB that started so poorly.
