It's been ages since I have been on this site, but I wanted to give a shout out to all of you who followed my son Matt Lackie back in HS at McKinney North...he is finishing his college career the end of this month at the World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. LSUS is the #1 ranked team in NAIA with a 51-4 record. Matt is 11-0 on the season. Thanks.

Congrats to Matt.... that's an incredible accomplishment for this season, winning 51 games. Also, amazing to carry your national rankings all season, no doubt Matt (11-0) was a huge part of it.

I think your guys will be celebrating a National Championship at the end of the month. Wish we were there too, but not our year.

Good Luck PILOTS! GED10DaD

A huge pressence today for LSU Shreveport Pilot pitcher Matt Lackie, who finished with a no-decision. Lackie had good stuff while tossing seven innings, allowing three runs, one walk and striking out four against Lewis-Clark State to remain in the hunt for a National Championship.

The Pilots win 7-3, with a walk-off grand slam. Staying alive to fight another day.

Former Frisco Centennial player Devin Greco hit the walkoff GS yesterday...we put Oklahoma City out today with a 5-4 come from behind win...we play Tennessee Weslyan tomorrow night @ 8:30 Texas time. Final 4 teams are Tennessee Weslyan, Lee (TN), Rogers St. (OK) and LSU Shreveport. TW only team without a loss...its been a great series, we're hoping we can pull it out...thanks.
Rogers St. (OK) beat Lee (TN) last night to knock them out. We beat TN Weslyan 7-3. Because RS hasn't had a bye yet, they get a bye straight to the championship game tomorrow night. Since Weslyan has only one loss, we turn around and play them again tonight. Weslyan had won 17 or 18 in a row before we beat them last night. Gonna be a challenge to beat that good a team twice in a row, but we can do it if anyone can. Not sure yet if they'll throw Matt on 2 days rest, but he's ready if called upon. Jared Mortenson threw an amazing ga me last night. He actually had a 3 hit shutout going to the 9th, but TW scored 3 in the bottom of the 9th. TW was averaging 13 runs a game in the series before last night. It's been a great ride so far winning 3 in a row after losing the first game. A win tonight would make us 55-5 on the season. We want 56 wins now. Thanks.
