Not really...but I've talked to the HC at Kent State (Stricklin) when he was an assistant at Georgia Tech and liked him very much. Sorry, but nothing more to offer than that.
I know Ball State has a solid program. THey have produced several 1st round draft picks in the last few years, including Bryan Bullington going #1 overall
yes there is some very good baseball played in the very UNDER-RATED MAC, and some very good players have been developed and come out of the confernce as well - even former bottom dweller Toledo produced a 1rst round pick in catcher Mitch Meir recently
they have been moving to shake the Mid-Major "lack of respect" label by continued scheduling & success vs strong major DI programs
Ball St's Beals has proven himself, Strick is settling in at a proven Kent program, Akron competes every yr, Carbone has been at OU since Truman was president, I believe -
even Toledo has commited to baseball with the recent coaching changes
most MAC schools travel south alot early and it shows
good education an an entire conference within about a 150 mile radius deserves your consideration if you have the opportunity
