Do they typically run tournaments like this, without a bracket, per se? Anyone with a dog in the hunt (or not) have any insight on who the strong teams are in this one? May try to catch a game or two outside of my nephews team...

Mckinney is always strong, even though they lost a lot of guys, they are still pretty tough will Lee and Lipka. Richardson might also surprise some people this year, they've got some talent. Argyle also has a few guys who can swing the stick. I don't know much about the other teams.

Seems many of the early season HS "tournaments" are this way. Rockwall is at Jesuit Classic this week (http://www.rockwallbaseball.org/schedule2009/Week%202%20Jesuit%20Bracket.pdf).

It's a series of games amongst various schools with no elimination bracket. Not clear if there is a "winner" at the end. Maybe - but not sure.
