Congrats to Chris Taylor! He made his mlb debut last night with the Mariners. Played shortstop and batted ninth, even got his first mlb hit in his second at bat. Chris, a fifth round draft pick in the 2012 Player draft, made short work of the minor league system. He batted .325 for Everett (A short season), .304 for Clinton (A), .335 for High Desert (Advanced or High A, .293 for Jackson (AA) and .328 for Tacoma (AAA).
Congrats to the Mariners, too, for recognizing his hard work and success and not allowing him to languish in the minors.
The Pilot has a nice article on his call up in the paper today.
