I just received this email from Marist, probably as a result of the recent WWBA 17U tourney my son participated in.:

The Marist Baseball staff hopes you are having a great summer and you are continuing to build upon your success. We would like to invite you to our August 24th Prospect Camp, we are looking forward to working with you on your game and getting a chance to evaluate you again. Forty percent of our roster is made up of guys like yourself who have attend our camps or clinics in the past. We feel our prospect clinic is a great way for you to see Marist College and see the facility upgrades that are in progress right now. We hope you can attend and I look forward to seeing you in August.

More details about the prospect clinic can be found on our website, www.goredfoxes.com or you can contact me at thomas.seay@marist.edu with any questions. More information about Marist College can be found at www.marist.edu. Again, thank you for your continued interest in Marist College and our baseball program.

Two of my nephews attended Marist as non-athletes and continue to sing its praises. One graduated, joined the Peace Corp in the Ukraine, then returned to teach High School in the Albany area, earning teacher of the year honors recently.

The second one went on to grad school at Purdue and recently accepted a $100,000+ job on the west coast.

So Marist certainly didnt hurt them!
My son attended their camp yesterday. Beautiful campus. There were around 60-70 participants, and the coach told the players that they are looking for about 4 more of this years seniors. I think he said outfielders are a priority. My son said many of the participants were seniors (he's a junior).

They have another couple of camps coming up.
