I just returned from the funeral for Jim. An obviously solemn event attended by a few hundred people. Jim's younger brother Rob did a nice job lightening the mood by sharing stories of he and Jim's exploits while growing up. Jim helped his mom and dad raise a poised young man.

The most difficult thing for me was looking around the room and seeing all those faces of past and present players, and knowing how lost they feel right now. I'm hopeful the Severna Park and baseball community will rally around these young folks to keep Jim's spirit alive.
