Just got my sons spring schedule for Santaluces High School in Lantana Florida and see we have a game with Maryville on March 18th.
Any posters coming down for the game?

We have some Webster's from Blount County, but the Maryville guys may just be lurkers here at the site. Maryville had a very good ball team last year and I would expect them to again be competitive. They seem to always have a good pitching staff and team speed.
The head coach for Maryville was a pitcher and a punter for the University of Tennessee. He has a son that is a senior this year.

Maryville finished last season ranked #10 in the state in AAA (Tennessee's largest classification for baseball). They're returning quite a few starters and pitchers. Hopefully they'll give ya'll a good game.

My son's team go's to florida each spring break to play in a tournament.
His HS has a very good team and do very well in the reguler season.
Thing is you have to remember that a team from TN. has not played more than a few games by the time they head to florida.
This year we will play our first game in florida, no scrimages or any thing before we leave for florida.
Spring break is a week early this year.

Your not trying to get the Florida teams to go easy on Goodpasture are you? Try to get them not to throw their #1 against the Tennessee team because it's your 1st game in 2004!
I need to think of something for our trip to Memphis and then to Tullahoma on the way back.

you know it wouldent hurt my feelings if they decided to see how that kid that has been asking the coach for a chance to pitch looked.
With any luck we'll draw an opening game against Westminster Academy, in Ft. Lauderdale on March 17th.

The coaches around here won't probably be nominated for the Nobel in Astrophysics or be asked to brainstorm on the the next Mars Mission, but don't count on them throwing some kid with his glove on the wrong hand.

dad04 , as usual my bubble gets burst.oh well thats the way it goes.
well we will just have to see if we can give them a game. The florida trip is great for our team, gets the players fired up for the season.
We win a few games usualy but the purpose is to get the players as much PT before the season starts as we can.
Enjoy the trip and get the kids warmed up for the big games when you get home.

After watching 5 Goodpasture scrimmages then spending 4 days in the state of Florida watching baseball, I now predict that Goodpasture is the real deal in 2004. They can hang with anybody.
