I am getting more and more junk emails about camps in my inbox and at my home, where  it is getting worst than the telemarketing calls that I get at night on the home phone

My son was just at one show case last month for one school and now he got another one for a Nov 1st camp at the same school.. If they didnt like him then why would they like him now... he didnt pass the eye test the 1st time around..

unsubscribe.

I think this is good advice.  We delete some, and we don't delete others.  It just depends on our interest in a particular school.

unsubscribe.

Thought to add this exact scenario to my original post, but thought to keep it simple.

Agreed jlaro, if they were truly interested and really wanted to see him again, they would call, or make some sort of effort to make a more personal invite.

LOL...yeah they can make some of those emails sound real personal too..  ha ha

I also think once you are on the mailing list and they have  a new camp.

the coach calls the admin office to tell them to send out an email blast to everyone.

so you and I can end up with two or three more invites before the year is out...

good luck with your school serach.

Joe

This tip is too late for the OP but might help others.

Create a gmail or other quick email account that you ONLY use for the recruiting process. Use this email when you register for PSAT and SAT also. That one account will then ONLY contain baseball related and college related emails.

If parents also have the password to that email address they can help the kid keep up with what is important vs what is not important.

This may not cut back on volume, but it will at least keep your "real" email free of this clutter.

When you get into the college admissions process you will really appreciate this "clean" email location.
